The full day event will discuss some very stringent issues and innovative ideas, starting with new business values, value objects and constellations, a new vision of the Sensing Enterprise, or the characteristics, properties and architectural design principles for the enterprise systems.
The objective of the workshop is to explore and debate several major inter-connected themes which are expected to have a significant impact on the development of next generation enterprise systems, including:
- (New) business values and characteristics of enterprises
- From value creation to value innovation
- Exchange of value objects in next-generation enterprise networks as dynamic constellations of value
- The enterprise as a complex smart entity capable of sensing and reacting to a wide ranging set of (business) stimuli – the Sensing Enterprise
- Characteristics, properties and architectures of next-generation enterprise systems
- Future Internet capabilities, common resources and service utilities to support and power the Universal Business Ecosystem.
FInES is also co-organising a special FIA session on the morning of the 11th May. The session is entitled "IoT applications and business models".
Smart cities as representing a complete eco-system are good adopters of IoT technologies as providing a lot of dedicated services to their citizens while supporting their local enterprises. The workshop will explore:
- What are the most successful IoT applications and are there any barriers to prevent successful deployments such as from legal, societal and governance ?
- How cross-fertilisation can be better promoted between IoT and Future Internet community?
- What could be the business models to exploit the full potential of IoT innovations ?
